In our daily work and life, single-phase asynchronous motors are relatively common. According to the characteristics of motor start-up and operation, single-phase asynchronous motors include resistor start, capacitor start, capacitor run, capacitor start and run, and their cover pole and other basic types.
The single-phase asynchronous motor is powered by a single-phase AC power supply. There is a set of single-phase working winding resistance on the motor stator. The magnetic potential caused by the single-phase winding resistance is a positive and negative pulse vibration magnetic potential, which cannot cause starting torque; There is also a set of auxiliary winding resistance on the motor stator, or corresponding countermeasures are taken on the magnetic circuit structure, so that the motor has the ability to start independently.
Single phase resistor starts asynchronous motor
The stator of the motor has a main winding and a secondary winding. Their axes are separated by a TV angle of 90 ° in space. The secondary winding with a generally large resistance value is connected to the main winding through the starter switch and connected to the power supply together. After the motor is started, when the speed is close to the synchronous speed, the starter switch is turned on, the secondary winding is disconnected from the power supply, and the main winding works independently. The characteristics of this type of motor are simple structure, low cost, and stable operation, but the starting current is large, which can reach more than 5 times the rated voltage, and the maximum will be 9-10 times; the starting torque, load capacity and rated force energy indicators of the motor are average. Therefore, the power range of this type of motor is generally tens to hundreds of watts, and it is suitable for small machine tools, fans and massagers with no special requirements for starting torque.
Single-phase capacitor starts asynchronous motor
The structure of the motor is the same as that of the resistance-starting type, but there is a large-volume starting capacitor connected in series in the secondary winding circuit. In addition to the advantages of the resistance-starting motor, the motor has the characteristics of significantly expanding the starting torque and small starting current. However, due to the high price of large space capacitors, the power range of capacitor-starting motors is generally several hundred watts, which is suitable for high starting torque or full starting places, such as small air compressors, refrigerators and mills.
